Does this work: L7 7.0.1, OS X 10.3.8 and UAD-1??

I am using Logic Pro 7.0.0 with OS X 10.3.7 and the UAD-1 with 3.8.0. My machine is a Power Mac G5 Dual 2 Ghz.

I have heard about massive problems with the performance of UAD-1
going to Logic Pro 7.0.1.

I would like to move to OS X 10.3.8 and Logic Pro 7.0.1 because of better performance. Does this work with UAD-1 3.8.0 or does ist cause any problems?

I have this exact combo and I do not have "massive problems" only occasional minor ones. Go for it.

Thanks. What do you mean by minor problems? The usual problems with UAD-1?

This is really weird: you nearly got the identical software and hardware-setup like me. There are just a few differences. What kind of music are you producing?

LP 7.01 seems to be a major prob in itself in a way.....

sometimes i get about 50% cpu load WITHOUT anything actually being played back....and then that just disappears.
or i can't record a track onto HD without dropouts that consists of 8 stereotracks with perhaps 4 plugs...next day i can fire off 32 tracks w 60 plugs no prob.

oh and if you open a tune with 1) a missing audio file and 2) a demo of a ua plug (i.e. PEQ)...LP 7.01 will open two dialog windows on top of eachother and they'll both stop working if you don't close the \"demo-reminder\" first...grr

Hi,
Same gear.. just some unexpected quit sometimes and UAD working at 80-85% max.
No big problems anyway
