Dream '65 - dual mono output with mono input?

I did a quick null-test with a mono guitar plugged into my new Dream 65, and can get the left and right outputs to null out.

I'm guessing stereo on the Dream is meant for if you are running stereo into it, then you get stereo out. However with just a mono guitar plugged in, the left and right outputs are identical?

My setup
========
Guitar -> left/mono input of Dream
Dream L -> DI 1 of interface (Track 1)
Dream R -> DI 2 of interface (Track 2)
+++ Track 2 phase inverted, with a slight boost in level cancels out track 1.

-edit: I do have a bit of spring reverb on in the pedal, but no trem. I'm guessing the room reverbs on the other pedals are implemented in stereo, but since the Dream has a spring it is mono.

Let's say, if you split a guitar signal into two same Fender amp miked with 2 identical microphones at the same position, you would have the same problem while inverting the phase into your daw.

Right - I guess my question, just out of curiosity, is is the 'room reverb' on the other UAFX pedals actually a stereo effect?

Yes, I can only speak for the Woodrow, but there it’s stereo in opposite to the Dream (which don’t have room reverb).
