Ducking room mic when using Luna to track live band

I use Luna for live band tracking (also mixing tracks post performance). System is 22 track multi-Apollo (2 x X8P+X6) The band uses IEM's and room mic's to provide 'live feeling'. I want to duck the room mics while the song is being played and have them come up between songs. Room mics muddy up the IEM mix during song. I'm looking for a UAD plugin that will gate the room mic from sidechain signal (perhaps the Kick?). This has to run in the Apollo 'real time' environment

Backup plan is to use a foot switch to mute the room mic. I'll probably forget to mute/unmute in the heat of the gig as I'm guitarist/singer/engineer

Any ideas?

Thank-you

I can't think of anything UAD make - but Unfiltered Audio's G8 over at Plugin Alliance will allow you to invert the Gate function - so above a threshold the Gate shuts = silence.

I can't think of any either... which seems odd?? Can you sidechain with the SSL channel strip?? Not sure.
Muting/un-muting seems best/easiest option..

Maybe the Muteomatic plugin from Sound Radix? haven't used it myself but it seems like it might work instead of muting manually.

Thank-you for comments. An inverted gate would be perfect. I believe needs to run on the Apollo DSP to work for monitor/cus while tracking live? Unfortunately 3rd party plugins running on the M2 would not function during tracking

Hey there,
For this purpose I use an 1176 with the input pretty much maxed out, ratio set to 20:1, attack set to the fastest pos and release set to the slowest position. Whenever someone plays a note the signal is so squashed that it won’t come out through your monitors.
