Dynamic Range

Hello, I have a couple question about Dynamic Range Especially in the DA area.

UAD Apollo 16 have 124 db in dynamic range at LR monitor

UAD Apollo Twin MK2 have 115 db in dynamic range at LR monitor

UAD Apollo Twin MK2 have 118 db in dynamic range at output 3 and 4

Questions:

1. how much difference you will hear listening to the same project Mixing (on logic or pro tools for example) if you can switch between 16 and Twin? little....medium...big....

2. how much difference does this making in Mastering while hitting the interface at high level volumes (peaking)?

3. why Apollo Twin Dynamic Range changes by 3 db between Monitor OUT and OUT 3/4? Would you consider to use OUT 3/4 instead of MON L/R?

4. 9db difference in the dynamic range is really a big difference? can you give a percentage to that?

thanks a lot for your answer!!

p.s. please... I know apollo 16 is UAD flagship and apollo twin is "entry level" and also different is the application of both interface :)

1) medium. Different DA converters altogether

2) AD is where you'd be clipping the input. Don't think I recommend it, though

3) gain control circuitry

4) 11.3876%

About question 4 I mean the difference in dynamic rannge between the 2 interface will make a big difference in sound quality? Will you hear that difference? Thanks again
