Easy way to align an imported mp3 file to a grid in LUNA?

I have an mp3 file of a track a singer sent to me that I would like to create a grid for in LUNA for the singer to record vocals on. The mp3 was recorded on a grid, but I don't have access to that or to any files other than this mp3. I've imported the mp3 in LUNA. Now, I would like to create a grid for the mp3 in LUNA and align the mp3 to that grid. (Having this mp3 on a grid in LUNA would enable me to copy/paste/edit easily parts of the singer's vocals I will subsequently record in LUNA and then export for vocal stems.) How would you do approach "gridding out" an mp3 in LUNA? Is there a relatively easy way? Thanks.

Does the singer not know the BPM he used to record the song? You mentioned he recorded it on the grid.
If not, you can always "tap tempo" to him singing and find the BPM that way, then you should be able to line it up with the metronome.

Yeah, I always align audio by hand, once I know what the bpm is. Some other daws don't export audio completely accurately, with a tiny delay at the beginning, or a tiny bit missing at the beginning. So I start the song at bar 5 and I can nudge the imported wav back and forth until it sits right.
