Hi !

I currently have two Quad firewire satellites running together on an old laptop - this i have read seems to be the limit for chained firewire units ?

Can i add a Thunderbolt 2 Octo satellite and have the firewire slot and Thunderbolt slot on my laptop running together ?

I am happy with the Firewire satellites and i think it would be a shame to sell them.

Thanks !

Note that once you add a Firewire Satellite to a system you lose the Live Mode feature that your TB Satellite gives you. As long as you use them only for mixing, it’s no big deal but if you’re using the TB one for recording and make use of the feature to lower latency, you’re screwed. Unless you’re on V11 where it’s gone altogether!!

True, but this is also removed from recent UAD builds.
