Flat Magma Ribbon cable .... again!

Hi UAD maniacs.

Ive been lurking around here for quite a while .... very useful and helpful info etc.

I have a 7 slot Magma chassis .... and I need to buy one of the old grey flat ribbon cables .... very elusive they are too!

I know its been covered before .... but did anyone actually track one of these down from a supplier or shop or ..... anywhere???

I bought a new round one direct from Magma ... but it's the wrong size ... oh the shame!

Please help if you can.

yes ... I did see the earlier post ... but no one actually says that they had one made / fixed. Really want to check that he is the right man etc. Or if there was an alternative if wasn't the man.

Any other ideas folks?

For the love of God ................ has ANYONE managed to find a supplier or used a supplier for one of these old flat ribbon cables???!!!!!

I have a Magma chassis sat here with 4x uads and 3xpowercores doing nothing!

Please help if you can .....

We have a spare cable now and are planning to have it replicated. We'll probably have 10 made. Does anyone know what the maximum length can be on these?

I would recommend 1m maximum ... I have heard of longer but I guess the shorter the better .... I'd want a 1 meter one.

I hope you can keep one aside for me.

I believe that the longest cable approved/recommended in this situation, by Magma, was 1.5 meters.

Would everybody be satisfied with 1.5M then? I seem to remember somebody here needing at least 10'.

If you are only making 1.5m then Ill take one. If you can do me a smaller at 1m then id be happier! My old one was dodgy even at 1m ... but then it was old .... and it could have been the magma itself!

Hi, I'd prefer 1m but if you're only making 1.5m that's fine, assuming they work of course. I pressume shipping them to the UK (or Spain) is no problem.

I have a 7 slot that I bought and can not get to work. I did get the 5 volt resistor from magma, and all it did was burn my finger (it was properly installed too). So, having said that, I guess I am over the fact that this fucking thing will never work. I have logged too many hours with my head up my computer's ass (not my own for a change), and am ready to take a baseball bat to the magma.
This magma came with 2 ribbon cables. One long, and one short. I can't verify if they work or not (I've tried both). But I am at the end of my rope, and want to get out of my $600 hole that I am in. Anybody want to buy my cable(s)??????

correction, I have spent $150 on the Magma, not $600. I'm tweaking
