Flex Routing on Apollo x4

Hello,

Would it be possible to implement Flex Routing on Apollo X4 ?

I understand it was not useful on the Twins (only 4 outputs), but the X4 with its 4 local (+ 2 LR) and 8 digitals doesn't seem incoherent.
Waiting for this, there's the pseudo-solution to use the Cues, but you lose them as a consequence, and can't use the Interface at its max potential.

Thanks for reading

It's not possible with the current design.

So sad..

I had the hope the X4 with its 4 cores would be at least as powerful as an Apollo 8 Duo which has only 2...

Thanks Drew

I've been satisfied with the CUE solution. I even use the x4 as an expander over ADAT when I'm using another system.

What kind of latency do you get while tracking, Matt? Do you monitor from the X4 or your other interface?

Other. It's about 1ms added latency at 48kHz, since the DA is out of the picture.

Have you ever used the analog outs on the x4 into the analog inputs on the other interface? I know there would be some additional latency, but curious if you have tried it.
Yes. You can minimize the latency by using higher samplerates on Apollo.

Excellent!

I am thinking of selling my Twin X Duo to upgrade to an X4. I'd like to have the extra two Unison preamps and cores.

The digital out was the selling point for me.
