Therefore freezing is still an unusable function for me. Unsure how this is still a thing. Can't find much on the forums here because "freeze" in the search bar comes up mostly with issues of Luna "freezing" or crashing. Any thoughts or suggestions I'm missing?

Everything is updated.

I attempted several times to replicate the issue you explained. This functions as expected on my sessions.

I am sorry you are having issues.

Thanks. And unfortunately this is true on any session I try at any clock setting. For what it’s worth there are some non-UAD plugins being used on this particular channel, but that also doesn’t seem to matter session to session.

Just to clarify for my tiny, tiny brain: Did you draw in the vertical line on the first image? I think so, but it matters.

It seems Freeze is cutting off at that timeline marker. What increment is your timeline grid set to in those images? 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, etc.?

The grids in both photos is identical and lined up in the pics perfectly. The first line is right on the first grid mark (1/8). The cutoff is not aligned with the grid.

All sessions? Newly created sessions? All tracks in all sessions? Same plugins on tracks each time?

I have replicated this on five separate sessions, including new ones. The error is unaffected by audio device (both apollo and core engine), sample rate, buffer size, plugin processing type (VST, UAD-2, etc).

Here is another example of what happens when a track is frozen with a quarter bar gap in front of it

In this instance you can't see the time marker in my screenshots (sorry), but it's about the same as before. Just under a half second.

I'm running an M1 mac mini on Ventura. But this was happening a few months back. I just didn't have time to dedicate to try and fix it at the time. Now I'm interested in figuring this out. Thanks for replying, Drew.

If necessary I can create a simple demo session for UAD support with a loop in it and a single instance of a UAD plugin, with no extensions and nothing on the master. It still does this.

For what it's worth, I actually use Luna for mastering (it's actually pretty great for that in some unexpected ways and maybe I'll contribute a thread about how I use it), and I do like to freeze tracks before sending them to the analog chain whenever possible. Currently though, it's just not possible unless there is more than a half second of silence on the stem.

Great, thanks for taking the time to check those steps.

I'd recommend a ticket with all this info in it for Support. And then submit Feedback inside LUNA that references your ticket #.

This is the best sequence of actions to get the rights eyes on it.
