On man, these guys don't like each other ... Duende sounds f*kin' amazing but can't get it 2 stay stable ... I think its the FW 1884 ... doesn't like other FW devices hangin' around .... Any advice guys ...
Thanks for getting back UAfan. I don't quite understand what u mean. "Separate FW interfaces..."? Do u mean setting up an aggregate device (I have FF800 that I use 4 mobile recording) ? . I really don't want to remove my FW1884 from my setup. Sound-wise, the Duende is worth all this hassle, but I don't want to lose the FW1884 in order to get the Duende to work. I'm running the sessions @ 88.2Khz/24bitUAfan said:Have you tried separate FW interfaces, not just different ports on same interface? May not help, though, if it is a PCI-bus issue (AFAIK, fw interfaces put their traffic on the PCI-bus). One FW I/F on PCI, one on PCIe a possibility?
Good luck, would be really interesting to hear how this can work, as I have the FW-1884 myself.

UAD-1's work fine @ 88.2Khz ... so can't be bandwidth limitations ... can it ?Man Duende is driving me mad ...RichR said:If you're running at 88.2, it may just be unstable because of the bandwidth limitations of the PCI bus. That's why I have been supporting UA's decision to go with PCIe instead of FW.
Have you tested your setup at lower sample rates?kudzumusik said:UAD-1's work fine @ 88.2Khz ... so can't be bandwidth limitations ... can it ?Man Duende is driving me mad ...RichR said:If you're running at 88.2, it may just be unstable because of the bandwidth limitations of the PCI bus.
