G5 DP1.8 revB + UAD1 + Poco?

I just read from the powercore forums that uad1 and poco may not work together with G5 DP 1.8 rev B!!??

I just bought such a machine and have a powercore. I would like to buy an UAD1 too but will it work?

So anybody here with this kind of setup? Experiences?

Hi 'FSD',

I'll be getting a new G5 dual1.8 soon (the current one has a loud buzzing fan issue), I'll post, if the problem still persists.

Firmware 5.4 (you can find an archived link on the apple g5 forums) solved the fan problem fpr me

Is this problem with the new DP1.8 revB? I have set the cpu power saving to \"highest performance\". The coolers increase speed always when I stress the processors more. I think this is normal?

But my fan (between superdrive & harddisks) is definitly bad.
The other fans are quiet.

I'll get a whole new chassis from Apple, because you can't remove this fan!! in-cre-dee-bee-lee! :-k
