G5 +Powercore+UAD1 anybody using this setup and any problems

Hi,i'm thinking of getting the TC powercore but i'm a little unsure of problems that might cometh!

Does it run well with the UAD or am i better off with another UAD card?

Many of us around here have both these cards. They get along smoothly, not looking askance at each other !! :lol: :wink:

Problems only with DP1.8 june 2004. Powercore boot problems if 1x uad + 1x powercore installed. 2x uad + 1x powercore works after 1-3 boots. With other g5 with pci-x bus you won't get all power out of the uad1. This june 2004 model is the best g5 for uad use, but there's the problem with powercore. A perfect machine does not exist.

Sure it does. Get the DP1.8, drop the PowerCore and get another UAD-1 instead.

Have a dual 2gig with uad-1 and poco. Works perfectly.
