Why not asking ua if this also true for old pci cards sitting in one of those new magma pci->pci-express chassis, than you could get at least 6 cards for now.

That might not be a possible way to go for you but I read a lot of times (really a lot) from various forum members that they would spend lots of money to increase power. So, here might be a chance. Thats all, I was saying. You can find various posts on this forum ranting on this 4 card maximum.

I'm sure, as digidesign has it's pci-express cards out there is a pci-express->pci-express chassis on it's way, too. So I don't hesitate to asure you, there will be a possibility to host 8 cards. And they are not out, yet, remember?

It'll make good sense for the limit to be removed if a firewire version shows up, too.

What use is a PCI-e card if the mobo doesn't HAVE a PCI-e slot of any description?
And why should the limit be raised for PCI-e, and left the same for PCI?
