Genelec or JBL?

Hi,

I have Genelec's 1031am's, but could buy some JBL 4315.
Would this be a better speaker then my Genelec's?

Maybe Genelecs 8000s? - they are said to be the evolution of 1000's.

I ask this because I got the chance to buy this JBL’s realy cheap.
At the moment I’m reasonably happy with my genelec’s but also wondering if I could do better with this full range system that’s already 30 years old?
The specs are good, but will this still stand up after 30 years?
Those tweeters should be really really good I read somewhere.

Personally, I've always wanted a set of old JBL Control Series or Tannoy Gold monitors. However, they would be used next to my nearfields, not as replacements for them.

I have decided not to buy the JBL’s because I needed a bigger room for those.

I think I’m going to buy a Sub for my Genelec’s instead.
