got a studio pak..am i screwed?

i got a brand new studio pak as a gift from my gf when she went to canada. i appreciated it and all but i already have an ultra pak! i can't exchange it for a project pak cause its in canada but i don't need the plugins that come with studio pak.. am i screwed?

I think your best bet would be to sell it without registering it first, or trade it to someone who has a project pak and some money to go along with it.

Or ask UA for a deal for some plugs you don´t have yet (roland, mastering?)
If you keep it private they might help you....

Yes, I would write them a cordial email explaining the situation. You are an existing Utlra Pak customer and you just received a new unregistered Studio Pak, as a gift. Maybe there could be a way to exchange the equivalant "premium" plugins, for one's you don't already have. Maybe the MasterMind Bundle...... doesn't hurt to ask. :wink: Worst case, would be to sell the card on ebay and then, with the proceeds buy a project or flex-pak.

unfortunately, the only thing I don't have is the dimension D, which I don't plan to buy.. if ONLY the Space echo were available right now.. and even more miraculous would be the neve plugin :( .. but since it isn't I think cat5 is right and I should try to sell it.. but I HATE ebay! they've gotten too greedy.. anyone else have any ideas where to sell it?

BTW, perhpas you should ask them to turn this bundle into a Flexi Pak, by giving you a non-expiring $500 coupon in place of the licenses included with your new card.

I don't see the problem. You got a UAD card FOR FREE!

Buy the downloadable plugins you need, and enjoy :D

The plugins aren't that expensive, right?

the problem is that i have an $899 studio pak when i could've just as done as well with a $349 project pak. anyways.. im trying to sell the whole thing now. ua couldn't help me out any and just recommended ebay... i miss the other dude, tom
