H8DCE BIOS Update = UAD?

I just phoned UA and they said that the board should work fine with the UAD plugged directly. I noticed your post was a while ago, did you end up with one?
I've just placed an order for mine now so hope it works, I definatley don't want a Magma -for various reasons it wouldn't work for me.

Wow, I thought this post was a gonner! 
I have stuck with my Tyan MoBo as I got my hands on a Magma, and it works well. However, I would prefer the SuperMicro because of its ramped up FSB and PCIe graphics.
Back when I originally posted the PCI UAD-1's were not compatible directly with the MoBo, only via a chassis. I think the PCIe can go directly in though.

My H8DCE is on bios 1.0c and I've run a single UAD on the mobo with absolutely zero problems. Was also able to load up the full 64 modfilters without any glitches. Still using a chassis now though but I want to know whats in the 1.1 and why I should upgrade. Whish SM published readmes with their bios files!

Yep, I get CPU munching when the UAD loading gets up above about 95%. Sometimes I can switch the load limiting off and have it running even higher.
DAW is H8DCE, BIOS 1.0c, dual 246, 2GB and LynxTWO.
I'm not the only one having a good time with the H8DCE but bear in mind, I've never tried it with two UADs so be careful there. Have a search through the Nuendo forum - loads of users there, some of them really know their shit too!
