Headphone cues suggestion 4 cues + mix cue out of 5th headphone

Hey UA forum & development team.

I've got an x8p, an 8p and a silver twin duo.
I'm wondering if there's a way to have 4 cue sends going out of my 2 rack apollos (via the four headphone outs), and still have the ability to monitor the MIX via the headphone out of the twin. It seems the apollo twin defaults to only the mix cues once you switch cues on in the cue outputs on console.

Could this be something made available?

So in my particular setup i want:
x8p HP 1 - CUE 1
x8p HP 2 - CUE 2
8p HP 1 - CUE 3
8p HP 2 - CUE 4
twin hp - MIX (instead of being forced to stay on one of the 4 cues)

can this be done? if not why not?

I have a similar setup (x6, 8p Twin mkII)
Don't think it's possible. Been wanting to do this as well. It would be great to have a headphone mix availabe that mirrors the control room (that can also switch to any of the 4 cues to hear what's going on there). I guess I have to get a monitor controller with a decent headphones out to be able to do that. Otherwise you're limited to 3 cues for the musician if you want to use headphones as well... but seems such a waste to get a monitor controller when you have a Twin that functions like that, pretty much.

it cannot. Because it's a limitation of the hardware.

Exactly. Seems a monitor control w hp out is the only way to split a main off to headphones with 4 cues active. Agreed,

it cannot. Because it's a limitation of the hardware.
Could you elaborate UA? I'd have thought hardware is surplus in this setup. Couldnt we just have 4 cues and the option to mirror LR? We seemingly have 5 pathways already functioning (4 cues + LR out). If I can dupe the cues to hp shouldnt i also be able to dupe the LR to a hp?

The routing in the hardware can't do it.

I think this is my number one gripe with an Apollo setup. Not being able to monitor the main mix on headphones in the control room without sacrificing a cue pair is absolutely bonkers.

for my control room cans( the good cans I don’t want musicians to drop or stand on) I run a little labs monotor headphone amp between the apollo main out and the monitors.
Whilst that introduces its own peculiarities, it solves your Problem.
