I certainly see why these EQ's are so sought after if this sounds like an original, which I suspect it does. Just clicking through the presets was a great experience and I found one that absolutely nailed a vocal track to the wall that I've been wrestling with for a while with other EQ's. Playing with it a bit yielded a \"keeper curve\" very quickly and now I can move on. This EQ is much less colored to my ears than the Neve 1081 or 1073, but the filtering is immediately noticable in a most forgiving and *musical* way, even when applied in small amounts.

This is one of those \"they'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands* kinda' things for me. I would have paid $250.00 for this without even thinking twice. At $150.00 it's a no brainer.

This kinda stuff is why I love these UAD-1's. Excellent tools that give me a professional result quicklyand easily.

I've got a friend with a couple of Strawberry 69's. I suspect he will be A/B'ing these with the UAD Helios 69 in the near future. I'll post a link if I get some A/B files to post.

Can´t agree more!!! This thing is ridiculus, every setting is good. I always go for the \"less is more\" when using eq, but now \"more is more\"... :D

The high end is smoother than the Neve´s, and that´s saying a lot :!:

I´m into the whole ´70ies vibe thing with my band, and in just a minute I was able to give an already awsome Hammondsound the boost into the \"insanely good\" category!

Best $59 ever spent on a plug.

I agree, and posted positive in some other threads. I started A/Bing last night, then woke up this morning, and before I even had coffee, wanted to see it I was crazy last night, or not...nope...great piece of kit. Not another same-as...this one's a winner, IMHO...Oh...and with my $25 coupon, I only paid $134! :p

Heheh! yep. I did the same thing this morning. It wasn't ear fatigue voodoo I was hearing at all. I just wish UA would rewrite the card drivers to allow more than 4 x cards and let me worry about bandwidth issues. I'm capable of dealing with that kind of stuff and would be willing to take my chances. they'd make more money with their hardware if they would just put a discalimer on the product stating that after 4 x cards you're taking your chances. I've got another Magma here that I could daisy chain and probably get a few more UAD-1 cards on the same IRQ as my existing units if the drivers would just recoginze them.......but that's a different rant.
