HELP! Hitsville Reverb UADx causes POP then NO SOUND from Stereo Output with Apple Logic Pro

As the title says, I really could use some help. I'm unable to use the UADx [native] Hitsville Reverb Chambers plugin in Apple Logic. Is there a known bug? I have looked through forums for similar issues, but nothing fixes my problem. I contacted UA support a week ago and haven't heard back.

Last month I updated to Sonoma and Logic 10.8.1 without any issues. Then , last week I purchased a bundle of UAD Native plugins during the current sale. All the plugins sound great. Everything records and plays fine until I engage the Hitsville plugin (on either individual tracks or on a bus) and then it suddenly makes a "POP" sound and then Stereo Output loses signal and goes silent. Even though there is no sound, the meters for the individual tracks still move normally.

Things I've tried:
1) Uninstalling and reinstalling via UA Connect.
2) Raising and lowering Buffer Size.
3) Changing the sample rate from 96 to 88, 48, and 44.
4) Starting a song from scratch using only Hitsville as the sole plugin, so it can't be a RAM issue. NOTHING helps unless I turn off Hitsville, but I really want to use it!!

DAW: Logic Pro 10.8.1 recording at 24-96
Computer: 2020 iMac with 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 and 72GB of RAM using Sonoma 14.1.2
Interface: Neve 1073OPX

I really would appreciate hearing back from anyone who has experienced this or something similar and knows what to do. Thank you so much for any ideas that could help.

This is 100% repeatable? It's definitely authorized, right? Are you running it on a mono or stereo track?

Yes, everything above is correct. I have tried to fix it everyday since I installed it last weekend. Fully licensed and activated via UA and iLok. And tried it both Mono and Stereo

UPDATE: I finally heard back from support saying today "Thank you for your patience with the current delay in response. Due to extremely high volume, we are not able to answer your request at this time".

Has anyone else reading this post had experience with this issue?? Perhaps this has happened with another plugin? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugins. I deleted and reinstalled Logic Pro. I even updated my firmware in my interface. NOTHING HELPS. It only happens with Hitsville Reverb Chambers. Everything else works.

I'm back after 2 1/2 months to ask again if ANYONE can help.

This issue also happens with UAD Capitol Chambers which I bought to see if it would work instead. This never happens with any other UAD plugins or giant reverbs from other companies like Waves, T-Racks, Lexicon, etc.

The only thing that sometimes helps is if I shut down the computer and reset the NVRAM. Is that a clue?

I can sometimes get it to work for a bit, but once I quit Logic to do other things on the computer, it'll "POP then No Sound" the next time I open Logic and try to play a track with the plugin. I have resorted to not using Hitsville or Capitol Chambers, but it isn't a permanent solution since I spent hundreds of dollars on these reverbs. Is there anything I can do besides getting a new computer? Sounds like even the modern M3 Macs struggle with Logic occasionally, so I'm not sure that it would solve my problem since I currently have 72GB RAM and my computer never struggles except for with these two plugins.

Sorry I missed this.

I would have said to get a new ticket open. So that's the best advice now. I do not see this here in Logic.

Go to help.uaudio.com, click on the blue Support bot and type “create ticket”

I had issues with Logic Pro and plugins once and this fixed it. Maybe it will help you:

Delete the Logic Pro PLIST file
  1. In Logic Pro, note any custom preference settings that you’ve made, and save any custom key commands that you've created.
  2. Quit Logic Pro.
  3. In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder.
  4. Enter ~/Library/Preferences, then click Go.
  5. Remove the "com.apple.logic10.plist" file from the Preferences folder.
  6. If you upgraded from Logic 9 or earlier to Logic Pro, also remove the "com.apple.logic.pro" file.
  7. Restart your Mac.
After deleting the PLIST file, open your project and try to reproduce the issue that you were experiencing. If the issue no longer occurs, choose Logic Pro > Settings (or Preferences), reapply your custom settings, and import your custom key commands.

any update here? Experiencing the exact same issue with some other plugins!
Hopefully the directions above will help you. There was an update a few weeks back that UA announced regarding UAD and Mac OS. Once I updated, it seems to have fixed it! I forgot to update this thread. We’ll see how long that lasts. In the past, the only thing that would sometimes fixed it temporarily was resetting the NVPRAM( is that what it’s called?). It only happens with UAD reverbs (Motown and Capitol). No other plugins from UAD or other brands have me issues. I never could get a solution from tech support, but the most recent update seems to have fixed it. Good luck!
