HELP!! Switching between Audio Drivers in DAW and now channels are broken??

I have permanent noise sounding whenever anything is plugged in! Horrible noise like the preamps are fried.
Sound still comes from applications, but anything plugged into the interface to be recorded just turns on a terrible sound.
Please Please please tell me £2000 piece of equipment broke by switching drivers in a DAW....
Has anyone had this before, is there a solution??
It now shows these levels permanently and I can hear fizzling from the unit itself, as well as a slight smell..
HELP!!!!

i have tried a factory reset of the unit, resetting the I/O matrix...

I've seen this before. It is most probably the analog input card. If it's under warranty it should be covered. If not it's not a terribly expensive repair. Reach out to your local authorized UA service centre.

Also, if it is the preamps, there's no way switching drivers could do this... just a coincidence.

Thanks for your response. It's within warranty but I have no time to wait !!!

Can you explain how switching the drivers wouldn't do this? Not that I don't believe you, but maybe it was a change in sample rate or something?
Something I noticed too was that my first two channels were linked in console (which I had not done) when I changed drivers in the DAW - one of which had phantom power.
