Help with magma?

I recently bought a used magma chassi.
I managed to get it working but I had to move around the 3 UADs between different slots. Is this normal?
In some slots one UAD didnt get recognized in the uad setup. I think there was a conflict somehow.
Finally I ended up with a working setup, but there were 2 uad sharing the same IRQ as the RME allthough the RME is still in the mobo. Is that no good? It seems to work fine when i loaded a project in cubase.

My thoughts was that all uad would get the same IRQ when they all are in the magmashassi. Is there someone who has got the same experience? If I would put in a few powercore in the future what will happen then with the IRQs? Does the powercore get angry if they must share IRQ with something else?

Here is my setup:

AMD X2 4200+
Asus A8V Deluxe K8T800
Corsair 2Gb
GeForce FX5200
3 UAD
RME Hammerfall HDSP 9632
Antec Phantom500

I would be very greateful if someone could help me.

You didn´t mention how many slot magma you have.
I believe irq´s in the magma are duplicated evry 3 slots (or was it 4?) So slot 1 14 slot 2 15 slot 3 16 slot 4 14 slot 5 15 etc.
Sharing with RME is not ideal but if it works  fine! Sometimes you have a setup wich doesn´t share and doesn´t work.
So it´s not only the sharing but also wich slots period. I had to do some shuffeling to get my magmaless setup to work, even with no irq´s sharing.
All the best

It is a 7 slot.
That was really good information about the IRQ and slot order.
Is it so then, that if I put one uad in slot number one and one in slot number four(or three), then then get the same IRQ? That should be good.
Or will it be a conflict? Is it possible to to swap the magma pci-card to another slot than number one(in the magmachassi), or does it have to be in number one?
I think i'll have to shuffle them around a bit more and see if i get a better IRQ situation.

Thanks Vincent for very useful information!!!

If someone in Sweden is planning to buy a magma, I have a recomendation.
I bought mine (seven slot used one) for 500 kr from soundware in Stockholm.

Yes that´s good!
Some people even put their audiocard in the magma (in a non uad sharing slot ofcourse).
Don´t know about the host card in another slot.

Thanks again Vincent!!!
I'll try to put the RME in there as well.
Then there wont be such a high load on the PSU of the computer.
I'll try to swap the host card also and see if it works.

Sorry, but I don't know what you mean by POST?
I also have a new strange behavior.
I managed to get the RME on a totally separate IRQ, and all the UAD on their own IRQ, but then I got a bluescreen very quick after playing a arrangement in cubase. I am suspecting that the UAD gets to hot.
Is there someone else whos got this problem?
When i touch the heatsinks of the UAD they are really burning hot.
I removed all the fans from the magma chassi due to the noise, but maybe i have to put some fans in there again.

Sorry ... POST basically means it wouldnt even start u. It would freeze right after power up. I had read elsewhere that Magma support recommended not adding a chassis to a pre-existing OS. The recommended adding it to a new install only. Since I did that its been smooth sailing with the chassis.
