HELP WITH PATCHING

[Evolution DB]

For now, I would like to patch the following units together…..

Apollo x4 Thunderbolt 3
Apollo x8P Thunderbolt 3

UAD 2 Satellite Octo Thunderbolt 2

My computer has Thunderbolt 3

I read some other threads about the order. It seems that I have to go Apollo x4 into the Satellite then from the Satellite to the x8P then from there to the computer TB3 port.

I can’t do that because going from TB3 on the x4 to TB2 on the Satellite I can’t seem to find a backwards compatible adapter anywhere that goes from 3 to 2. So then how do I patch all this in to be able to use all three pieces?

Those adapters from apple work both directions … so just use them smartly and it’ll work.

It’s funny, I removed it to just run the two Apollo units and I still get no sound

Something else might be going wrong I guess ... but to get all 3 working you'd just hang one adaptor from the X4, then go TB 2 to the Sat, then TB2 to another adaptor that's plugged into the X8P and then into the computer with TB3
