How do I access the pre-amp plug-ins pre-amp/settings (Apollo Twin)

Hello,
we've been using our Apollo Twin for years.

Just always having issues with sounds so that I can tell SOMETHING is needed in the pre-amp department.

After all this time - did some searching and it looks like there were plug-ins that came with the Apollo??

It looks like we didn't read the book and the box is in the attic!

How can we get some better pre-amp sound with this Apollo Twin? We need better d-essing, and the voice sounds a bit thick and little too much bass in the vocals.

Trying to improve vocals, I realize you guys are probably like huh, what? (I'm not the one usually recording, and the current vocalist is trying to improve the vocals, and so I'm like it needs a preamp (and other things) and they're like "the Apollo IS A PREAMP" and I'm like.... Hmmmm and so I went researching and so they think they can just plug in and go - and it looks to me like there must be "preamp specific software?" Or plugins that work with the Apollo that came with it?

The software we use on our computer is SONAR PRODUCER X3 (?) I think it may have used to have been Cakewalk.

Thank you in advance for your patience in helping me understand where/how we're supposed to use and find preamp settings.

The plugins are installed with the UAD software. I suggest that you log in to your UAD account and see what plugins you own. And you might need to upgrade your UAD software. And you will need to know where to go to activate your plugins:

Thank you.
OK so the person who uses the apollo always thought - just plug in and go - but now I'm seeing this kind of youtube video -
like some kind of control center software.

Does the Apollo have something like this?

The video Tsadar linked is the best basic Apollo setup/use video out there IMHO. (y)

Thank you everyone who has helped us on this forum!!
OK - the Apollo is updated, I see that we currently have 18 plug-ins on the console (More over at Cakewalk/Sonar X3)...

SO now, When I go to insert a plug-in, all sorts of plug-ins appear and I'm offerred 14 day trials.
Do you know of a way that I can see just the ones that came with the Apollo Twin?

Thanks again!!

In Console, go to Settings, choose PLUG-INS and hide the plugins you do not own.
