How do I setup Console to mix 2 tracks down to 1 recorded track?

I should know this.

Let's say I have 2 mics on a guitar cabinet. But I don't want to record BOTH and mix later. I want to commit to a mix of the two to move fast. The fader levels in console affect what I'm hearing. Is there a way to use console to mix them, so I can record 1 input in my DAW?

You can mix in Console to an AUX track and record the AUX track in your DAW.
So you use "sends" to adjust the levels to Aux 1 (for example), and then Aux 1 is visible in the DAW? (I don't think you can output a track to an Aux, only to a physical Apollo output.)

You can in most DAWs. Auxes are in the I/O Matrix.

You cannot in LUNA in case anyone is wondering.

You can set AUX to prefade and use sends to mix independent of main fader. You can expand the send section to have full size faders and pans. Aux outputs appear as a core audio source in your DAW. If you don't see them, you may have to assign them in the i/o matrix tab of Console settings.
