Hi there

Any tipps for new Hardware users? I already used UADx, I recently got the UAD Signature Edition.

Do I get the DSP versions of the UADx plugins free automatically?

Which of your favourite plugins are now available for me?
I think I‘ll get Ampex, Culture Vulture and Autotune.

I also wonder if playback quality is better now as I was using an 100$ Steinberg Interface before.

First I wanted to get the SSL 12 but it‘s so ugly, I would not enjoy using it.

How do you all do loopback? I read the manual on loopback, is this the only right way?

How can I use the unison preamp for already recorded stuff? How to be sure it uses the unison one and not the UADx one?

Yes, Make sure they are in the same system on your account at uaudio.com then you authorize them using the Meter & Control Panel...

The Ampex ATR-102 is a must!

The Unison is only for recording using microphones or Hi-Z (guitars, basses etc). For already recorded stuff there's no difference from using the UADx....

I'm pretty sure this is not true.

OK, I went to the process and had to choose 8 free plugins, I owned pretty much all of them except the precision series.

What I find crazy is, that I now have 300 new plugins showing up in Ableton, and I own maybe 1/5 of them all ... how can I delete the ones I don't own?

Use plugin cleaner (kind of annoying the functionality isn’t already built in)

I used it now. I really don‘t understand why there is no crazy backlash about those plugins. I mean I get mad scrolling through endless plugins I don‘t own and have to think for which ones I have licenses and which ones I have not.

If you’re using Console with a DAW other than Luna, you can go into settings in Console and hide the ones you don’t own

Don't sleep on the Precision series. They are some great tools with very low DSP hit and no latency, except for (I think) one of the EQ's.

grats on the Twin!

It is true. When you BUY any UAD plugin, you get native and DSP licenses even if you don't own a UAD2 device.

Only Spark is native only.
Okay I'm confused. Can a person really buy UADx plugins? I thought they were subscription only.

yes, you can buy.

You can subscribe to Spark and get native only plugins or buy and get native and DSP.
Okay I think get it. It's just basically how you want to say it. The price is the same whether you're buying the DSP version and then getting the native version for free *or* buying the native version and getting the DSP version free *or* getting both for buying both. Correct? I was confused by how the OP phrased the question.

Correct!!

Any plug that has been ported (or is new) is like this.

Any plug that is DSP only, it not.

Cool. Sorry for my misinformation.

The 2 for 99$ deal should work multiple times? I thought if buying both AMS plugins and then neve 1073 and autotune realtime. I dislike the real autotune plugin because you have to install an license server etc. And an „central“ app which launches every time in the background … like UAD but only for one plugin its a resource waste
