I have a hankering for a UAFX Galaxy...question

As a Dream and Lion user (with an OX Stomp on the way), I'm now considering giving one of the more traditional UAFX pedals a try. I'm leaning heavily towards the Galaxy, as I want a good tape delay, and want to try something other than Strymon for a change. I'd also like to free up some space on the board and take advantage of the onboard spring reverb, so I was curious if the Galaxy would serve me well in that regard?

I've also been eyeing the Del-Verb, but from where I sit, the Galaxy would serve a similar purpose (albeit with only spring reverb, which is all I want anyway), as its reverb can be used independently of the delay.

To summarize, am I missing something here, or am I correct in my assumption that the Galaxy would serve my needs vs. something like the Del-Verb?

Galaxy or Starlight.

Galaxy is a dedicated Roland Space Echo emulation.
Starlight has a few different delays: EP3, DMM, Cooper Time Cube as well as a clean digital delay (uad precision delay).

Del Verb is a delay and reverb unit combined. It's great but the trade off is a more limited feature set for both effects.

Yup, I'm after a good Space Echo emulator/El Cap. replacement, and it was between the Galaxy and the RE-202. I just wanted to know if the spring reverb in the Galaxy holds up when used independently being's it's not the main focus of the pedal. I intend to grab a more feature rich reverb at some stage, but for now I just need a good spring emulation to use with my tube amps. I figured the reverb in the OX Stomp (not with the real amps of course) and this Galaxy would suffice for now.

The ‘spring’ in the space echo is pretty trashy but it’s a cool trashy. If you’re into Reggae or Dub it’s the perfect choice. If you want a beautiful Fender style spring reverb, it’s not that.
I use the UA plugin Galaxy reverb all the time. Not necessarily for “pretty” but for character.

Perfect, that's the info I'm after. I appreciate it!

FWIW I'm really digging my Del-Verb. It isn't so great for live applications other than turning the Delay or Reverb on/off, but you get 6 sounds on the pedal and many more within the app (including some Chorus/Vibrato-ish reverb sounds that are cool), it's quite versatile for a home/studio setting.

Yeah, as a home player, my audience consists of my wife, and here shortly, our first child. Using the app to access the various presets is fine in my case. I do dig the color scheme of the Del-Verb...I have a feeling I'll end up with both the Galaxy and Del-Verb at some stage, but with the OX Stomp on the way, I wonder if I'd end up with some redundancy in effects.
