I heard that Luna will be using computer Rams as well as DSP Cores, is this true? 2024

2024 January. I recently heard a rumour that Luna is or can be running on computer's Ram as well as DSPs.
Is it true? or total Bs...? i have Apollo 8 and some plug ins/ effect really chew up the DSP power and really cannot use effects throughout 8 channels on Luna.

I’m not sure what you’re asking but Luna can run AU Native plugins running on your CPU as well as UAD plugins running off your Apollo DSP. Just like every other DAW. it’s not a rumor.

thank you so much. ok so only if its AU native. i recently go API summing mixer says "native" on the other hand pultec summing mixer was saying apollo. and didnt understand what that mean.now i know. thank you again.

there’s no pultec summing mixer but the pultec EQ collection can be run native or DSP

Apple is working on this thing with logic, thats why they have integrated ram with arm chips. They also hired dave tremblay, maybe they are working on integrated interfaces or something similar like hybrid. Integration between arm and logic is very wasted, they need to work on something special. Im huge uad fan but this year will be for apple and logic. I dont think uad have some big announces for luna, uad have only dsp chips which are outdated…
