I would be very happy if the 4 limit card could be deleted if this is not possible......
why don't u release some beautyful LAN (would be the best choice) or firewire external box able to run with the four internal cards and with other of his own kind??????????

This has been discussed on the forum at length.

The truth is that no one really knows what UA's plans are except UA. And they won't tell you here.

Rest assured though, they will bring out a successer to the UAD-1 at some stage, we just don't know what or when.

Cheers,

jcat

I already got myself some PoCo, but I still want a UAD Mobile.

If there's a UAD Firewire, I'll buy two to four more at least, depending on how good the incoming Neve 1073 plug-in is.

I too am waiting for the new card from UAD before buying anything further from them.

Great plugins, but for me the hardware just didn't like my system so I sold it.

Here's hoping they don't take too long.

Kind regards

Dave Rich.

i used to have a powercore....didn't like it. probably the only reason i may be tempted to grab one (or three? ;) ) is the sony stuff. another idea would be to put a protools in there, but apparently they PT and UAD-1 cards don't get along too well.

i'm with polygen

i choosed uad platform becauze the po.co plugz were really poor .....

even if i think po.co dsp are more powerful (am i wrong?)

listening to po.co plugz i'm sure i would buy one and surely do not use

it.... the basic plugs are insufficient and the whole sound is too much

thin ... if i wanna use some trasparent plug i will ever use the SAINT

waves (not apa pliz) uaudio politic on plugs is wonderful even if i

think they could produce some free plug one ore two time per year .....

so... just to keep us happy (we are the best way to spread the word of

uad) ... after i bought my 4 in musicstoreKoln, my friends tried them

and bought other 20!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys,

Firewire, in my opinion is at best, lousy.

I own three FW devices, and they never seem to function perfectly together in together. Its good technology; gone clumsy.

There are a lucky few, who get it all to work fine. But most seem to battle an ever increasing compatibility and bandwidth battle.

KAyo
