I used the wrong power supply!

I connected apollo twin x to a 12v 1.5A power supply. The ampere required is 3.4 i guess or 4.3.
Is the apollo ruined or affected?

I dont have the original power supply. I connected the 12v 1.5a power supply twice for a very short period around 2 minutes. The apollo turned on on both times. I disconnected quicly because i figured I don’t have a thunderbolt cable to try it.
Im taking this apollo from a friend to test it maybe buy it. But he told me he can’t find the original power supply

It's not the amps that are a potential issue it's the volts. The UA Apollo Twin Power supply is a 12V supply you should be fine.

Thanks. I will buy online a 12v 5a power supply. This will be sufficient.
Higher amps means that a power supply can supply more current, if needed. It never hurts to have a power supply that is overrated for amps (current), just don't use the incorrect voltage. :giggle:

Since it hasn't been explicitly mentioned, polarity is just as important (if not more so) than the voltage. Reverse the polarity and your device will be fried.

Under amperage will usually smoke the PSU before smoking the device. As mentioned above, being over the amperage is okay. Under is a concern. Voltage and polarity are both critical, too.

I destroyed a guitar pedal with the wrong polarity. Proceed with caution. Don’t screw that up.
