Upgrade any studio monitors instantly with the first out-of-the-box acoustic room correction system that anyone can afford. ARC Studio combines a standalone correction processor, new ARC 4 measurement software and a room analysis microphone.

The UA Apollo makes an appearance in the video.

They really hit it out of the park! Perfect solution for everyone that wants systemwide room correction without having to mess up the operating system. Finally!

But when I see the Trinnov mic, I wish they did something like this to take measurements. Just one point with the 4 "antennas" and boom, done!

I saw this video, what are you trying to point out?
nothing. You mentioned the trinov so I shared a pertinent comparison video.

I'm interested in seeing how this stacks up against Genelec's SAM monitors. I have 8030's but have been considering upgrading to 8330's with SAM but if IK's tools work that would be cheaper than replacing some great monitors.

SAM is on another level ... it also considers phase and time of flight stuff, but the ARC system is quite good (I have the software version as well for use with other speakers when traveling).

I just wouldn't expect the same results, but you might get away with using the ARC box as a basic EQ fix.

MiniDSP has been selling a similar system using DIRAC room correction software for 10 years or so.

That "no one" knew about it. But if both were released today I would go with ARC any day.
I did! :giggle: I used one of the MiniDSP systems for years until DIRAC released system wide software for Mac. If people have been in search of a solution like this, they could have found it easily.

If UA are working on their own box, I would suggest a mic with one capture point like Trinnov, and a box with the ability to store presets of speakers emulations, like 5 favourites. So, no need to always let it connected to the computer and no need to have to every time open the software to change the current settings.

Is the linear phase latency of 48ms a typo? Neumann doing linear phase at 48k in 2-3.
I suspect it's correct. Most linear phase computations add a lot of delay - they HAVE to to properly compensate. Typically, I see up to 100ms. Some, like Fab Filter, can be up to 1.5 SECONDS (1500ms).
