Could someone please remind me how to use my Ilok and URS plugins in another computer please, as I dont wanna f**k up my Ilok!

Do I plug in my Ilok before or after I've installed the PACE drivers and stuff?

I've got the Neve and API eq's.

Thanks

I think you have to install the PACE software first, then plug the iLok.

The correct sequence is as follows:
1 - Install the iLOK Client software.
2 - Check that your licenses are correct by logging into your iLOK account and interrogating your iLOK.
3 - Install the latest PACE drivers, and then reboot.
4 - Install the URS plugins.
5 - Reboot one more time & you are good to go.

The beauty of the iLOK system is that you can not only carry it around with you, but also get Zero Downtime cover. This means that as long as you have a spare iLOK, if anything happens to your main one you can log in and instantly get replacement licenses whilst permanent replacements are sorted out.

Thanks Neil, I'll copy that info into notepad.

MsM, I use Logic 5.5 at home and have'nt had any issues with the URS stuff or Uad-1 for that matter. I'll be installing onto another machine where I work running Logic also.

Thanks guys :D

When time comes to update the PACE drivers, do we need to unplug the iLok key before updating to the latest version ? (besides repairing permissions before AND after the installation process, of course)

Thanks.

I've never yet removed the iLOK when updating the PACE drivers.
And why is it necessary to repair permissions?
Never had to do that either.

All I ever do after initial iLOK installation is periodically update the tkpd.zip file by installing latest version.
No removal of iLOK, no repairing permissions.
