Installation problems since version 4.50

Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum . I own 3 UAD cards, ie 2 UAD PCIe and 1 UAD PCI card and have been a UAD user since 2001. I've not had any problems installing the UAD drivers until the 4.6 and 4.7 came out. It seems that windows suddenly doesnt recognize any of the cards . Under the device manager, 3 of my UAD cards are under exclamation points. However if i revert back to 4.50 everything is back to normal and the drivers are installed automatically. I do know this is not a hardware problem but a driver problem. When I try to click on the UAD meter, I get the message 'Unable to communicate with UAD hardware, Please make sure your hardware is installed'
I'm currently using win xp sp2. So at this point I've not been able to use or buy any new plugins since 4.50 due to this problem. I'd like to know what should I do. I'm using echo's Gina 24 sound card ver 7.20 and a 2.4 core 2 system with 2 gigs of RAM and I'm running audio files from a SCSI drive. I now have to revert back to ver 4.50. I wonder if anyone out there has got the same problem as mine and I also wonder if there's anything under windows xp configuration I'm missing as far as installation is concerned Any help would really be appreciated..Thanks

In the device manager, for the DSP cards with the yellow exclamation mark, does the \"properties\" tab state a 'Code 37' error ?

Yeah, the-after-4.5-desaster. Many guys, myself included, have several problems after upgrading. I was lucky with 4.3. Than I bought this Neve 3somthing compressor and I like to work with it. But I'm still thinking of getting back to 4.3, where I had no problems.

I wasnt sure what the error message was, but all I knew was the drivers weren't correctly installed and that's why the exclamation points appeared..

this is surprising.. i thought i was the only one in the world having this problem.. At least through this forum I dont feel so alone ...Anyway, I got an email from UA and they sent me 2 reg files as attachment. I was to run the latest installer and execute the reg files.. Now it seems that the UAD plugins are correctly installed and recoqnized by the win xp and after several tweaks in samplitude 9, I got the program to recognize the plugins.

Have you tried the reg files?.. I've now successfully installed 4.70 now.

No, I don't. I know not neither, that there are reg files to be executed. I was in touch with UA several times with my problems. They send me a list, how to tweak and optimize my system, that doesn't help.

Yesterday I found out, that pan-settings of CS-1/EX-1 in a single channel are not saved after closing SX. Last time I had this problem, was after upgrading from 4.3 to 4.5.

I'm really scared about upgrading to 4.7. I think, I stay on 4.6 for the next time on hope for \"better weather\".
