installing a 2nd card: how to install \"software first\"?

Hi. I have one UAD1 and have ordered a flexi pak. It should arrive in the coming days :D
On the site and in the quick start guide, they say that, when you install a second card (as the first one actually), you should install the software before the hardware. But in my case the software is installed anyway, since my first card is installed and works, or am I missing something?
So basically, do I have to install anything before pluging my new card in?

What version of UAD-1 software are you running? Current version is 4.1.0 released 12/22/05 (all VST, no DX support). For the latest version, download the V4.1.0 first, then install your new card. The new version fixes a few bugs and includes the UAD Precision Multiband too. Depending on the version you're running, it might not include newer plug-ins like the Roland Dimnsion D, Boss CE-1, precision EQ, precision limiter that you can choose with your flexipack authorization.

I've got the latest version (4.1). My flexi pak hasn't arrived yet... I hope i'll get it before the end of the year...

Install second card go to the UA website register the new card and generate a new authorization code
