INSTALLING UAD CARDS PROBLEM!!!

Ok, after trying to run with UAD's on an ASUS A8N SLI Premium with absolutely NO LUCK, I went out and bought the A8N Deluxe mobo that is recommended in this forum.

Now, after a week of installing all my software, drivers etc., it is now completely impossible for me to install the drivers for the UAD's.

The driver installation says that \"the following file could not be found\".
It then displays NO file whatsoever and the installation ends. It then detects \"new hardware\" again and again tries to install the drivers with no result. This will just go on untill I cancel.

The drivers are there on the CD. I can see them. I even tried to copy them to my HDD to install them from there but NO LUCK.

It doesn't matter if I point it to the drivers directly. It starts the installation but somehow fails.

I'm kinda desperate now....can anyone PLEASE help !!!!

I can sse the hypaudio.sys and hypkern.sys driverfiles are in the WINDOWS/system32/Drivers directory. these are the driver files also located in the \"drivers\" folder of the Universal Audio Program directory.

And the inf. files are on the UAUDIO cdrom that came with the cards.

don't know if this helps.....I'm completely lost

email UA, i´m sure they have an adviced procedure for install gone wrong (like deleting/uninstalling everything, shut down, removing the card, boot without cards, reboot reinstall software, shut down, insert card and pray...that´s what I would do , but again ask UA)

That was a really qualified tip !!! (Russel broom)

But actually I fixed my problem.

You can follow my ordeal in the thread \"I COUL REALLY USE A LIST OF SYSTEMS that DON't WORK\"

Actually all I had to do was to install my Soundcard.....(!)
I didn't get to install the soundcard since my UAD's wouldn't install.
So I was fighting this problem not knowing that the missing soundcard was actually the cause of my problem. Funnily I had thought about it and therefore ran the soundcard test with cubase with the onboard soundcard,
but the resulting ASIO was apparantly not good enough for the UAD's. As soon as I installed the soundcard (wich was the very last thing I tried before giving up...) The UAD's suddenly installed and the system has been rocksolid since then.

But I don't recall having read ANYWHERE, in forums, manual, support etc etc, that the UAD's need an installed soundcard. Although it makes sence, even UAD support, who I had on the phone, didn't think about that and they gave up on my problem.
