Hello.
The fact that these cam models are real people with their own lives and boundaries makes the experience more authentic and respectful.

Hello.
I've made a mistake and haven't got enough inputs into my new UA Apollo twin. I want to have all my mics set up and ready for immediate use, I use 2 inputs for vocals and my other 2 set up for recording my guitars. Can I get something to my expand the interfaces two inputs to four? It would save unplugging back and forth hassle and help me streamline and speed up the recording process.
Your thoughts much appreciated ;)
You can easily add 8 more mic pres via ADAT. There are budget options, but $500-1000 gets you something solid.

ADAT is a great option.

Also consider a used rackmount Apollo. Older Silverfaces can be around the $1k mark or less and you get the added benefit of four more Unison preamps and more DSP cores to use while tracking and mixing.

+1 on the silverface units used. If you can find one under the 1k mark with tb3 option card that’s a great expansion. I found a used quad without thunderbolt at 750€, added the tb3 card for 199 and there you go

Yeah my studio is best of both worlds... but I went in the reverse order... Started with the used Silverface, added the TB3 card, added a Twin then added an ADAT expander... very flexible 18-input setup.

I believe someone recently posted a link to this device as the cheapest option for expansion using optical outs to Apollo:

The ADA8200 is frustratingly good for its price. If you’re looking for more flexibility or growth over time you can also get an ADAT 500 series expander but then you’re spending some cashiola on pres and what not
