Is Ocean Way Collection available as native plugin?

Hi! Is the Ocean Way Mic Collection available as a native plugin that runs in any DAW without an Apollo interface? With my Sphere LX promo it registered the Ocean Way Collection, but it only shows up as UAD2 version. (It did install the Sphere Collection both as native and UAD2 versions.) I was wondering if this is correct or if I am missing something.

It is DSP only. So is Putnam.

Oh and by the way, is it normal, that the Sphere mic appears as its own System in my UA account? I now have my normal Apollo system and an additional system for the mic but with no plugins in it?

Yeah, perfectly normal. We don't want them taking up valuable slots in systems where you have UAD devices.

That’s fair. I just bought the signature series and have lots to play with. I have had my eye on the Oceanway plugin for years and would consider the satellite, especially if I knew it’ll never be released as native. But, like I said, I have lots to play with now while I wait. The Sound City plugin is excellent in the meantime.

I can recommend the Satellite for sure since it’s great for running OWS and the other 150 DSP only plugins. Remember, the native side of things is not meant to replace the DSP side. DSP will remain the backbone of the ecosystem for years to come.

Yeah it would be great to have the Ocean Way and the Putnam collection plugins as native. It would make things easier when there's no UAD hardware.

Hi, I did not see this in the sphere dlx setup instructions and I got confused when I saw the dlx installed as system 2...if I missed it, oops; if this is not mentioned in the setup instructions, it would be a good idea to do so...thank you
