Is the Output Volume Saved with Presets?

Hi everyone,

I've been tweaking my pedal settings between "Live" and "Preset" modes for rehearsals, but I've run into a bit of a situation when playing live. Sometimes, upon arriving at a gig, I find myself needing to adjust the overall output volume of the pedal. This leads me to wonder: when you save a preset, does it also save the output volume level, or is the output volume independent of the presets?

Essentially, I'm trying to figure out if I need to readjust the output volume for each preset individually when the overall volume needs changing for different venues, or if adjusting the general output volume suffices without affecting the preset levels.

This is interesting. And the reason I pulled the Lion off my board. Every time I would turn on my set up for band practice, the level of the Lion pedal was not set where it was before..ie, drastically either to loud or too soft…I could just touch the Main volume knob…just touch it or tap the top, and the volume would return to where it was…Maybe something going on with the encoder/pot. I’m now just using it for quick ideas at home, and demos for clients. I won’t use it live.

Load a preset change the volume and then save it.. I suggest start with a few clean tones with the vol at 3 oclock and then make your dirty tones relative to that. I use mine live and once i got mine dialed in I have been very happy. Another trick I use is I have some jam tracks in my ditto that I jam with at live monitoring volumes while I adjust and balance them all. It was tedious at first because I have all 4 amps pedals but now that I have a strategy its much more manageable.

Yep, this is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good in that I can set it and forget it with my preset, but bad that when I change settings in live mode and then switch to my preset, the volumes can then vary wildly. Bit of a dance to get it set correctly, but now that they're both set and I've spent a few weeks tweaking, I'm good.
