Isn't my computer powerful enough

Hello everyone!

I have a quite large mixing session on Luna that is starting to not run properly. The tracks struggle to load, and everything is very slow, even navigating within the session. Luna is overloaded. My question: is this due to my computer not being powerful enough, or could there be something else to address? My computer: MacBook Pro Intel Core i7 6 cores 2.6 GHz 16 GB.

Thx 🙏

If you aren't saving your sessions on a second (non-System) drive, I suggest that you start there.

Some of us use external SSD drives for sessions. Others (including me) have another SSD for virtual instrument libraries.

You can install the Mac OS on an external SSD but the point here is to make sure you use an external SSD for your sessions and, like Les, I keep my VI libraries on a separate SSD. I'm running a 2018 Mac mini i7 6core with 32g ram and do very large sessions with no issues. I try to render VI channels if there are a lot of them though. It helps with backup as well.
