L22 acting up again.

I can’t seem to string a few days together without a problem with my L22. Light goes on and off depending on the day, bad levels on the rear diaphragm, and the latest today is a nasty electronic noise intermittently… when I tap my Apollo 4x in certain places I get a nasty crackle and pop which makes me think it’s a bad cable. Is any kind of brand of 5 pin to 3 pin dual xlrs acceptable or do I need to order something directly from UAD? Would like to trouble shoot this more before I send it back.
