Has there been any kind of message from UAudio about expected compatibility with the new Mac OS 10.5?

Don't know about any official statements, but it's working perfectly for me in Leopard :)

Same Here!
I installed leopard on a separate partition and have been making some tests.

UA Plugis work great in logic 8...
So do Soundtoys and URS for those interested. Soundtoys's Echoboy has been a little buggy with heavy automation, but all in all I have had few surprises!

I really wonder myself, got 10.5 but it´s still unopened until i know for sure it works with what i got on my mac pro quad 3Gz. I´ll continue to use 10.4.10 until i know the Yamaha mLAN-protocol, Novation ReMote37SL, UAD-1, Live 6.x, Reason4, Stylus RMX, Plugsound Pro, X-Treme FX, ReCycle2.1 and my most important native-AU/VST, is supported by Leopard.

I really don´t understand why UA don´t answer us about running UAD-1 with 10.5, since most of us running mac pro wanna upgrade from Tiger ASAP!

Cheers;
Jo

I've been using DP 5.11 and UAD 4.8.0 under Leopard for the last week and I've even ventured to use it in some recording and mixing sessions for a client. Everything performed flawlessly, I couldn't tell the difference between 10.4.10 and 10.5 if it was for UAD.

Sidenote: if you are a DP user, do NOT use v5.12. It won't work, lots of issues. v5.11 works perfectly and to me - and many others - it's even better, hands-down than v5.12.

Stay with Tiger

My suggestion is:
Stay with Tiger and is new 10.4.11
Wait to upgrade your System...
Maybe after Christmas time or better, in March 2008 I will be intereasted to upgrade my G5 Power PC...

A different story should be for the people that run on MacIntels

But in any case the UAD plugs works perfectly on leopard

I don't even know if it's any good to upgrade to 10.4.11, mainly because pretty much all of us have a working setup that involves 10.4.8 or 10.4.9. As far as \"NEW, exciting and risky\" goes, Leopard is the thing. So, from my point of view, there's just another side of it, being \"OLD, boring but safe\" goes, our current working setup is just as good as we want it to be. If you take the risk of updating, let it be towards Leopard. 10.4.11 seems to be boring and risky..;)
