Lion 68 - Dickey Betts sound

Hi!
I recently bought and started testing the pedal. I'm a big fan of Dickey Betts and love his sound. I own a Marshall 1987 50w in combo conversion with a Weber Neomag 12, as I can't find JBL D120F speaker.

In Leon 68 I use Volume 1 at 4, Bass 2, Middle 10, Treble 7-8, Presence 5, Super Lead Amp and JBL/Celestion speakers (Gibson R7, what else..). I can say it's pretty close to what I want, although I wish there was a 4X12 JBL D-120F option (the speaker is a very important parameter for Dickey's sound).

I can't wait to try it in live conditions...

And one more thing: I saw on Youtube an owner using it with Radial PRO DI box, and the sound was amazing. Do you think the DI box is necessary or can the Lion 68 be connected directly to the PA mixer?

Thanks!

If you are connecting it to a remote PA mixer, it's good idea to use a transformer isolated DI-box. If you are connecting it with a short-ish cable to a PA mixer on stage you can plug it straight it, but a transformer isolated DI-box is always a good insurance to avoid ground loops and other surprises.

(I am connecting my Lion '68 to my studio console without any DI box and it works just fine.)
