Lion - Clean to mean

... with a silicon fuzz pedal in front of it.
For as much as I've been using the Lion lately, I had not tried a Fuzz into it.
Responds as expected. After playing with it for a couple of minutes I wasn't even thinking about the amp 'model'. I was focused on my pickup volume and the fuzz setting.

Chase Tone 'Fuzz Fella' in front of the Super Lead model (no boost).
Strat with slightly overwound single coils.
Vol. at 5 for the clean intro and middle section, 8 for the dirty melody, and full up for the lead.
Guitar is one pass/one track. You can hear me roll the volume up and down (on purpose).
*I shaved off some low-end below 60hz and added some dly/verb.
Everything was mixed into Sound City.

This pic shows the "amp" settings (model is super lead, not super bass).
Presence is about 2:00 and Room reverb is at 50%.

Sounds amazing. SCS really sounds great here too, brings the whole group together. Do you play the other instruments also?

Not on this. It was a piece of ‘library’ music. I stripped off the original horns, guitar and fx.
The drums are a super basic loop.
I just wanted something to play over while testing the fuzz into the Lion.

Cool. I’ve recently been reading about easy keys, I wasn’t sure if you used that at all. I was going to be impressed if thats what this was, because it doubles the melody you did on the guitar in some parts. This all sounds great together!

I intentionally doubled a lot of that organ melody on guitar. To make it sound somewhat like a song. I’m a lousy piano player but I usually do my own keys parts when I’m making my own tracks. I’m actively trying to get better at keyboard.

Yep, that sounds suspiciously close to a silicon Fuzz Face into a real Superlead. Nicely done, great playing as always @klasaine!

I’m curious if you’ve tried adding a treble booster and getting things juicy enough in your monitors to provide useful controlled feedback?
I want to be Jimi at Monterey in my bedroom man, please tell me it’s possible? I only ask because I’ve yet to get my hands on a Lion, but with your demos it’s a done deal.

Cheers!

I was able to get feedback through my nearfields with a wah in front of the Lion.
Im not sure how ‘controlled’ it was though. It kinda just happened.
It’s at the end of that first thing I recorded and posted here using the Lion.

Oh I’ve made those uncontrollable sounds with the Clyde before lol. I’ll investigate once I do have a Lion and report back.

Thanks!
