Hey everyone,

I've been trying to replicate the spacious Hall reverb effect from the "Moonlight Clean" preset on my Lion pedal, which involves a GB30 cab in stock amp mode, bright blending between Vol I and Vol II, and a custom hall setting for extra ambience. Despite my efforts with the Room control and exploring all possibilities on the pedal and the mobile app, I'm hitting a wall. I know a lot of this comes down to ear, but I'm genuinely stuck and could use some advice. How do you get that expansive Hall effect?

There are sounds in the pedal that are only available via the presets. These are bonus "custom" sounds that are "baked" in via the presets.

So just load the preset, and then tweak and re-save with your changes/name.

I believe in this case the clue is the word ‘custom’. That patch is one of the artist presets, and I understand the reverb to be a special addition just for that patch - it’s not derived from the base room sound. I don’ think there is a way to tweak the pedal to get that effect in a user preset. :-(

I copied the Preset to one called fx-custom hall so I can start with that anytime I want to use it

Thank you all for your insights! The official explanation from Universal Audio and the tips from Richard and d0gmA clarified a lot for me. I appreciate the workaround of using the preset as a starting point. Love these audio Easter eggs and your help in navigating them. Cheers to making music with these unique touches!

Yeah UA how bout throw out a preset with a nice Spring Reverb in it too eh? Brilliant marketing, they have me looking hard at the Golden Reverberator now...a few weeks ago I was happy with the single knob reverb on my Blues Junior.

I did the "hidden" menu trick for a while for that hall sound but having zero control over it quickly gets frustrating. It's nice that we have some kind of room sound in the unit but, like I specifically mention in my Lion review video and Lion + OX stomp video, it would be really nice for them to eventually give us a more fleshed out app experience (or better yet, a desktop companion app for the UAFX pedals) where we can fine tune the sounds vs just "more" of the baked in sound.

I didn't buy the Lion for reverb flexibility though so I am not that upset over it. I just hope that someone behind the scenes is working on giving us software quality that matches the hardware and sound quality because it feels a bit incomplete right now.

Anyways, I ended up getting a Del Verb due to lack of flexibility with the OX Stomp app/settings on reverb/delay.
