It's a common enough situation:
2 UAD-1 Cards, fully loaded.
One 24/96 Mastering Project.
Problem is that if I load first the Neve 33609, then the 1081 EQ in the Master Buss, then follow this with - in each of the 2 tracks - a Pultec EPQ-1A, all loads, all is fine & all works.
However - the second I go off Nuendo, or it loses the focus (usually because of UAD-1 Meter/Usage) I get the dreaded error message telling me I have exceeded the load limit, and one or more PPI will be disabled.
30+ clicks later on the \"OK\" button and the nag disappears, only to reappear the second I try to turn off a plug.
This matters not one iota if I disable all UAD-1 from the UAD-1 Usage meter or not.
As soon as the foocus goes back to Nuendo, it all goes to hell again.
Now, there are a few questions.
1 - WHY does this happen? I have the DSP, because if I load in the right order, it works.
2 - WHY does disabling the entire lot in the performance meter not work?
3 - WHY do I get 30+ nag screens?
I love these Neve plugs, but not even adding 2 more cards will solve this problem. If it did, then I would be able to load \"as is\", but I cannot. So the load spreading algo either plain does not work, or is badly broken.
What is the solution?
It's Bizarre in the extreme I cannot use 2 Pultec, a 1081 and a 33609 with 2 cards at 24/96.
