logic 5.51 pc, uad-1 plugins don't work - solution!

Hi,
for all of you who can't get uad-1 plugins work with logic 5.51 - here is the solution that worked for me. :idea:
Don't use service pack 2, for me there was no chance to get it working.
Installed a completely new system using service pack 1, everything was fine. It tool a lot of time to realize the reason for the problems, so I hope this is helpful to some of you.

I got it working trouble free by using the PCI Latency Tool 2 (freeware) to clock the video card down to 32.
