When I got my Mac back in July, I downloaded the demo.....and hated it!
I dunno, it was just quirky and unforgiving. But yesterday, to my surprise, I was able to download/install and use the demo. I'm addicted now. Sleep? Meh, who needs it. I guess maybe it's a little like Luna the first time around where I had to revisit it later to appreciate it. For one thing last time, there was no way other than midi to have a track armed per what you select. Maybe it was a bug from a previous version? Seems to be a breeze this time around.
It's still a little quirky. For example in the editor sometimes the cursor stops. It's hung a couple times, but hasn't crashed. Midi editing is a bit funky (hard to believe there isn't an easy way to do notes horizontally w/o using the mouse, it does up and down). Nudge doesn't work here yet, I guess I'll figure it out.
Love the input quantize options. I wish it was global though. I also (like Luna) LOVE the midi fx slot. Very handy for me rather than having to make a separate channel and all that. I've also discovered some handy "not obvious at first" key shortcuts that make life easier. Being able to have just a GUI open for plugs on one track programed on the Stream Deck is nice. Having a bunch of windows open at once is just cumbersome. And it integrates pretty well with my Arturia Keylab. But it doesn't work well with my Faderport 8.
I'm curious to see if after the killer trial period if I still feel the same, but I've put about 10 hours into it and have a pretty good grasp with it. Logic is a right of passage for Mac, right?
