\"Look Ahead\" function Multiband causing problems

I've been really enjoying the new Multiband compressor. What an amazing piece.

However, using it in Waveburner (Logic's mastering software), when I trim the beginning of the song so that the song starts at the numerical marker, the first second or so of the song is cut off of the bounced file.

I realize that Multiband needs that time to buffer, in order to do what it does, but how can I keep the beginning of a song tightly trimmed, yet still utilize this wonder plug-in?

I'm resurrecting this thread, mainly, because I would imagine the majority of use of the new Mutiband Compressor would be in Mastering type situations.

I know myself, as a G5 user, need to carefully watch the UAD meter, as I can't get more than 75% or so out of it, which is why I tend to use my UAD Mastering tools in a mastering program, such as Waveburner, as opposed to the main output of my DAW (Logic).

But, it appears that the Lookahead necessity of that plug-in is not factored into Waveburner. I would have thought it would compensate for the delay, like Logic does, but it doesn't appear to. Thus, totally defeating the practice of cleaning up dead space on a track, or a drummers count off, etc...

Is anyone using the Multiband Compressor in mastering software? And if so, how are you dealing with this? Are the beginnings of your songs chopped off? Or does the program you're using compensate for this?
