Looking For Presets For 88rs

i like to start with presets sometimes and then tweak.so if anybody has any setting for stereo drums, bass, guitars etc. escpecially drums, sometimes i run bfd stereo for a quick rough mix. and it would be cool if ihad a few different presets to start with.(other then the ones it comes with)
thanks

Out of all the UAD plugs, after learning to trust my ears and eq \"blindly\" with the Precision EQ, the 88RS is giving me the most trouble in terms of being able to use the thing comfortably.

So what I have been doing is just concocting some basic loops, maube a dozen channels, and putting it on every channel. I'll start with the snare preset and the kick preset for those elements and start messing about until I feel I have a good sound. I don't get the expander at all yet, and the compressor controls still feel \"blind\" to me, but I think I'm comfortable with the eq and filter section so far.

The more I use it, the more I like it, and the more comfortable I feel with it. I hope soon I'll be able to dial it in quick like I can with everything else. Try that. Do you think your mixing skills will get better this way or if someone handed you another bank of presets?

The Expander is a little weird because it is a downwards expander rather than an upwards expander. To me, a downwards expander is almost identical to gating, while an upwards expander (like the one on the P-MB) can actually increase dynamic range.

If you think of the Expander on the 88RS as a 'soft gate', it makes a bit more sense.

Maybe not the quick fix you're after, but there's a thread on Gearslutz where somebody had screengrabbed the Chris Lord Alge presets for the Waves SSL channel strip - they can be interesting starting points / learning tools.
