\"lost connection to UAD-1\"

Hi all,

I use the UAD plugs with LOTS of joy!
But not any longer....

When starting the UAD meter I get a message saying the \"connection to UAD-1 is lost\"...Haven't moved my Mac or anything, not overheated.

Does this mean the thing is broke now?

Have you tried re-seating the card in the PCI slot? Sometimes, PCI cards or even modules with pin connectors, can work themselves loose over time. I have even had to re-seat one of my RAM modules, when I started to get blue screens and memory errors. It quickly solved the problem.

Oh!
I never knew that.
Wow, I just removed the card, haha, maybe just maybe I should give it a new go.

Thanks, keep you posted.

Very True!

That happens when the plastics in the computer expand and contract due to the heating and cooling. Loosens things up quite a bit actually!
