Luna crashes on launch

I'm getting an error message upon launching Luna: LUNA quit unexpectedly.

Attempts at relaunching fail the same way.

System: Apollo Twin Duo, Satellite Octo, Mac Studio M1, OSX 12.6, 32GB.

Everything works normally in Logic- including all my (owned) UA plugs.

AFAIK my iLok is up to date and Luna appears in the iLok manager as a "cloud" license.

My internet connection is stable and constant.

The UA support bot was not helpful in solving my problem, unfortunately, and I couldn't find a way to contact a human.

Any advice or suggestions on next steps would be helpful.

Start here:
Mac uninstall:
Do a full uninstall/delete all prefs/reinstall

Follow it to the letter. Be sure to delete the entire UA folder located in the User Library, not the System Library.

All seemed to have worked well with the uninstall/reinstall, thank you. UA plugs seem to work normally in Logic so far.

I'm just getting back into the studio after a few years away. It appears during that time a lot has changed in the UA ecosystem. It seems that in order to install Luna one has to also install "Connect." I went ahead and did so, and now I have the dock icon for launch both Luna and Connect.

I'm totally unfamiliar with Connect. When launched it asks if I want to install a bunch of plugs, but not all of those I own. I'm assuming these are to be installed in Luna itself. Am I correct?

I'd like to learn more about Connect, what it is and what it does. Is there an article/video about it you'd recommend?

Thank you.

Glad to hear it.

UAC is our portal for native plugs, LUNA, the UAD2 installer, and pedal firmware etc.

This YT playlist will show you lots of things:

Excellent.

My main head scratching on this is the "native" thing... I've always used Apollos and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, so I'm currently clueless as to how Connect will affect my-school workflow.

I will check that vid out.

Thanks for being here on a Sunday!

For a user like you, you can think of the native plugs are "extra DSP" when you run out on the UAD devices. They'll run on your CPU and give the same great sound.

BTW, I fixed the link above. It was supposed to be a playlist, not that one vid.

Happy to be here and help in any way I can!!

Be sure to hit me up with follow up questions.
